DS1511 5MB/sec start sector 1

My DS1511 has horrible performance. 5 MB/s or worse. I notice the following. Do you think its the problem? How do I fix it?

Hi,

Your disk are not properly aligned, if this matters for your lan speed is the question.

You could read this post, including the link giving in that post.

If you would want to correct the problem you need to reformat the drives and do a clean install of the diskstation. I haven't done it myself and I don't know if it helps, you should decide that for yourself.
