No, resaving the pop3 accounts doesnt help.
But reinstalling MailStation does! The problem is, that it seems that the most recent MailStation version needs DSM 4.0 (2198) to be installed. At least thats what I read on the Gemran forum.
So, do as gangsterwagen posted and you are back.
And dont forget to check the Synology firewall.
