MAIL packages won't install

Hi,

I tried to install the MAIL packages on my synology DS209+ but it gives me, at the and of the installation process, the error "can't install the packages"

I uploaded succesfull the packages, version: 20100407-018, start the installation from the menu and get the error just before the end of the installation process.

Installation of the packages "Webalizer" version: 2.21-04 was running succesfull.

Is there anyone who can give me a direction to solve this problem?

What's the firmware version of the DS209+? If you're using the old version prior than v.1100, than, please upgrade to the latest DSM to workaround. Please ignore this if you have launched the latest DSM.

The other possibility that the patch failed to install might've related to the correspondent directory where the package installed has already existed. In this scenario, please access the DiskStation via CLI, and check the following directories:

/var/package/

Code: Select all

/volume1/@appstore

Please remove MailStation if the directory shown, and re-run the installation from web GUI once you're done!

Hi Antoiney,

First of all thanks for your reaction. I just found yesterday the place to download al different firmware version of the DS209+.

From the version that i had (DSM 2.0-0728) it wasn't possible to upgrade direct to the latest version. You have to upgrade first of all to version 2.2

After upgrading to the latetst version (DSM 2.3-1157),it was possible to install the mail packkage.
