Bad dierctory&file size at DS209+II

Postby draco » Tue Feb 09, 2010 4:11 pm

Using MailStation a .Maildir is created in user home.
Fetchmail is installed and IMAP is set up.
When I checked my 4.8G outlook mailbox stored on my PC, I found that surprisingly on synology's maildir the size is 24M only.
So there must be a bug, since the mailbox is definitely huge.

Can anyone propose a solution for correct size display?

You cannot compare a pst file to the mailbox file on your DS. Outlook saves much more information in pst than just plain emails. I got a mailbox with about 15'000 emails on my DS which is about 90 MByte in size (on my DS). How many emails you got in your mailbox?

It is not about the number of emails but the sizes of the attachments. There are 13.800 messages in the inboxes and 10.700 in the outbox. I use Thunderbird as well, both Outlook and THB agrres on cca. 4,2Gb total mailbox size.
The answer is very, very simple: the DS wrongly communicates the size, they have to correct this bug.
Just as the other one I posted (viewtopic.php?f=15&t=21395&p=86600&e=86600), this is a bug either (not the last one).
