Logitech abandones squeezebox. What effect will it have on the functionality on the synology squeeze server In the short run and In the long run?

Hopefully (and no reason why not), there should be no short-term implications. In the discussions over on slimdevices, it seems that Logitech will continue to support LMS for a while.

It's depressing what has happened since the Squeezebox Touch came out 2010. That was the platform to make the product line incrediably successful, but Logitech really dropped the ball.
