Isn't UPnP supposed to help automate router config?
Trouble is, UPnP is such a security risk that its often disabled.

This router really needs to be added to the list.
Its a really popular router and its extremly tedious to add every port seperatly.

Any word on this yet? Has anyone successfully set this router up manually? I have one on the way.

This is unacceptable for Synology not to add this router to its supported list after all this time ; it has been almost a year now and we are all struggling to get this nice router to port forward . Get with the program Synology. We are sick and tired of your procrastination.

I also do not understand why this router isn't supported yet. I filled out the form which was posted earlier. Hopefully Synology takes his NEW clients seriously. I can't use my NAS now.

I totally agree. Can one of the people in the know tell us why it's taking so long? I only have 30 days to send it back!!

Hi,

Sorry for the late feedback on this, we have already purchased the ASUS RT-N66U for testing, however our engineers have been encountering difficulties to support it with EZ-Internet.
While we hope we can support it, this cannot be guaranteed. In any case we will let you know the results.

You can always get help from our team for manual port forwarding:

I just noticed the RT-N66U has been added to the router list!! Has anyone successfully configured it via EZ Internet?

I tried today but the wizard is failing the connection test after the port selection. Not sure what to do now. I might try resetting the router to the default setting. Anyone?

I tried this (reset to default) and it did not work. I am currently working with the support team on this issue. I will post as soon as the issue is resolved.

How is the progress on implementing support for the RT-N66U?

EZ Internet claims to support this router with firmware version 3.0.0.3.178.

I havn't tried it with that version but the EZ Internet does not support the new 3.0.0.4.220.

I've tried the compatibility test and reported the result, seems modifying ports was the problem.

EZ Internet even claims it has opened the ports even tough it hasn't.

All other programs manages to open the uPNP ports so it must be something wrong with EZ Internet.

Adding to this, I've also bought an RT-N66U router and I'm very surprised that it's not supported yet as it's one of the most popular and best routers out there. Mine failed at modifying the ports as well.
