Does adding an ext USB HD allow it to be shared?

Postby welshdragon » Mon Apr 02, 2012 9:02 pm

Basically I have a DS212. If I connect an external usb hard drive could I then share its content out across the network? I don't want to include them in the storage pool, but by hooking them up can I share the contents?

Thanks for any and all help as after a few hours looking I can't find an answer

Hi

Yes.

When connecting a USB disk, the disk appears as usbshare1, but it's all about setting rights in User and/or Groups.
