After upgrading from DSM 4.0 to 4.0 2219, my Sony bravia tv kdl-52 z5500 cant find the mediaserver via dlna anymore.

It still works from my IPAD with the mediaconnect app

- tried rebooting
- uinstalled / installed the mediaserver package
- rescanned the video folder

Hello Jorgen,

I had the same issue : if the firewall is enabled, you have to re-enable the 2 rules for DLNA because these rules are not migrated if you come from the DSM 3.2 version.

Regards.

I have not enabled the new firewall software in DSM 4.0, and i upgradede from DSM 4.0 to DSM 4.0 2219.

Under the previous version of DSM 4.0 ( the first released , not the beta ) everything worked.

Thanks for your comments.

This may sound crazy, but have you rebooted the TV? Unplug it for a bit then plug it back in.

Have also done the following

- Rebooted the TV
- Rebooted Network switch
- Rebooted Router

But still the mediaserver could not be found.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Examined the Synolgy Configuration and did the following

Media Server / Device list - Pressed Reset, so at all DLNA devices was removed.

- Accessed it again... from my Ipad, result..

Enable: X OK
Mac Adress: a4:d1:... OK
IP adress: 192.168.0.181 OK
Device: persona software(R) Media connect OK
Profile: Apple iOS - media connect.

Every thing worked from the IPAD.

Did the same from my sony Bravia TV.. Tried to connect, and looked in the device list..

Enable: X OK
Mac Adress: 78:84:... OK
IP adress: 192.168.0.199 OK
Device: Sony Corporation BRAVIA KDL-52Z5500 OK
Profile: Default Profile "Not OK" !

Default Profile should have been "Sony BRAVIA"..

Tried to change it manually, but my Sony TV still cant connect....

Conclusion
Something must be wrong with the profile for Sony BRAVIA.

Problem Solved.. !!!

The 1010+ has two Network Ports... For some weeks ago i unplugged it from LAN port 1, and by a mistake entered the plug into LAN port 2 on the synology... Same time as i upgraded the firmware..

The Synology Media Server was setup to use LAN port 1... so when i switched to LAN port 2 in the "Media Server" Network Interface setup everything worked again..

Thanks for your help.

My sony TV is an old kdl-52 z5500 from 2009, and it does not play mkv files but only .mpg2 and .ts files.
