Latest PopCorn C200 Firmware and Synology

Postby SpaceLunatic » Sat Jun 09, 2012 4:08 pm

I have a QNAP and a Synology

When I upgraded my latest C200 from popcornhour to the latest firmware, I couldn't connect to the synology anymore.

I could connect to the qnap.

the C200 gave me a "unable to resolve hostname". All settings where correct.

The only fix was to enable guest acount, then I could access the synology mapped share again.

If i disable the guest acount after that, it works, until i reboot the popcorn hour or shut the switch down. Then I have to AGAIN enable go to the share, then disable the guest acount.

Can synology offer a fix for that ?

thanks

I have same problem with Popcorn Hour C200 (with newest firmware) and Synology DS409+ after upgrading to DSM 4.0-2228. If i enable Guest Account everything works fine, if Guest Account is disabled i get "unable to resolve hostname" on my PCH-C200. Everyting worked fine before upgrading the Synonogy DSM, even with the Guest Account disabled !

i don't have this problem , i just updated newest firmware to my PCH-C200 i can able to connect to my NAS via samba, and if i switch to NFS , it will not work, they asked for user name and pass i put it in correct but not able to connect. When i switch back to samba they do it again and can't connect to server until restart the PCH C-200
So, give it a try to restart you device and see how it work
P.S: Do you guys know how to set up YAMJ to run it from NAS , i tried so many time but seem not work
Please, help

Same problem here with the popcorn hour A200. I need to enable the guest account to be able to login to my NAS. This started with the last firmware update of the popcorn.

Strange thing is that I entered the user/pass with the share (on the popcorn) in the network settings, but on my NAS I can see that the popcorn uses the guest account and not the user I mentioned in the network settings on the popcorn.

Very weird...
