DS712+ questions

hi all i am looking for a nas for home to do the flowing
need to be able to run plex to stream to ps3 iPad and atv2.
need to be able to support apples time machine.
and need to be able to support bit torrent downloads.
i have been doing a lot of reading and found this to fit my needs but want to know if anyone out there uses this setup and what is it like or is there a better model out there that will do what i am after.
