What does the road map look like for Synology to support SATA 3 drives in their NAS devices?

Greetings mgsweeney99
Can you be more specific about which SATA Specification are you referring to?
SATA-2.0 / SATA 3Gbps?
SATA-3.0 / SATA 6Gbps?
Thanks

Greetings mgsweeney99
Support for the new SATA-3.0 Spec will be evaluated and it will be deployed on a future high-end generation of Synology DiskStation. Please note that new SATA-3.0 drives are backwards compatible to SATA-2.0 mode, which is the current standard for Synology DiskStations.
Hope this helps, and have a good day.
