Hi There,
I own a Synology DS211j(2 x 1TB in Raid1) and a WD Sharespace 8TB (4x WD Caviar Green 2TB in Raid5).
The WD Sharespace died on me (not the disks) so I am in the process of buying a Synology DS1812+.
My question is:
Can I move the 4 disks from the Sharespace to the new DS1812+ without losing data?
W.o.w. is the way Raid5 is setup by Synology the same as for the WD Sharespace.
Thanks,
Frans

Nope. The Synology NAS needs to re-format the disks in its own way.
