Ftp Downloads from remote server

the is a presales question i am thinking about buying a DS209j and need to know if Download Station can Download files from my remote FTP server without a computer being on the whole time.

Download Station supports http/ftp url to download a file from remote FTP/http server.

Recursive downloading of remote server directory through FTP is being planning in the futhure firmware upgrades.

That would be SOOO col to set my synology to download from my FTP every * * * * cron. you know what else would be cool. is if you could specify different places to download to for each files, like, backups off server goes here*** home movies go here..... and so on./

I must be stupid but I cannot download a single file using ftp directly to my nas from another one via internet
I tried to create a task using ftp://login:password@ipnas:21/folder/filename but the file never starts to download
can someone help? (port are open and I can download ftp from the distant nas on my mac...)
